I was regarded the most careless one in my family, to be truthful, I really am. When I go to the store, I paid money but forget take my return or forget my goods. One time I went to a boutique, I paid RMB200 to buy a pair of hair accessories when I took a tour in another city, I ended in coming back to home without them. Without doubt, I suffered a big loss from my carelessness in most of time.
The most ridiculous thing happened to me in yesterday. I went to
Hong Kong for an exhibition with my colleagues, we were living in
Metro Park Hotel for one night like every other time. In this morning, when we check out, I was waiting in the hotel lobby and sitting in a sofa. In front of me, there is a Lost and Found glass cabinet, I can tell there are lots of lost from hotel customers. Looking at them, I was much relieved for finding out some people even careless than me, because their lost is much more expensive than me. There are glasses, watches, wallets, and even a portable computer.
When I hugging myself for being lucky than some people, suddenly, a shoe caught into my eyes, I was wondering whoever was stupid enough to lose one shoe. Soon, I noticed the shoe looks very familiar. A purple high heel shoe! I walked close to it, the more I see it the more I suspicious it possibly would be mine. There is a little tag stick on it, some letters are “06Apr07”on it, I guess it’s the time for the hotel cleaner found it. I start to realize last time I was living in here is in Apr. I tried to dig my brain to remind if I lost my shoe, but hard for me to remember things happened four months ago. Maybe, I hadn’t unpacked some of my bags for last time I went back home. In order to prove I was right about my sense, I called my mother in home for helping me look for my purple shoes. Five minutes later, she called me back, turns out there is one shoe in one of the shoe’s bag.
How ironic am I? Finally, I took back my shoe from the hotel Lost and Found. It seems like my careless is exacerbating. I spend a whole day to conclude my carelessness: they would happen in a leaving every time. I made myself a pack to avoid those things happen again. I decide to check my belongings every time before a leaving.
